Skyla is an Atlanta-based designer and land steward with a background in fine arts, regenerative agriculture, and ecological land practices. She holds a BFA from Agnes Scott College and has studied organic farming methods in Japan through a work exchange program focused on Fukuoka-inspired practices.
Her experience includes transforming suburban and rural sites into productive, ecologically grounded landscapes, and co-developing Fox Gardens—an off-grid homestead project in rural Alabama featuring natural buildings, rainwater harvesting, food production systems, and a volunteer education program. Skyla is interested in landscape architecture as a means to integrate ecological systems, natural materials, and meaningful human engagement with space and community.
